Step Into the Courtroom This Summer

Officers talking to Youth Court studentsIf you’re a student in grades 7–12 who wants to do more than just talk about change, Ontario County Youth Court (OCYC) is your opportunity to actually make it.

OCYC is a peer-based program where young people take on real roles, like judge, jury, prosecution, and defense, in actual non-violent cases involving their peers. Through Youth Court, you get to help fellow youth in Ontario County get the support they need to stay out of the legal system, while gaining a deep understanding of how that system works.

Members develop leadership skills, legal knowledge, and a genuine sense of purpose. And it all starts with training.

This summer, we’re holding our Seeds of Change Summer Training:

📅 August 17–21, 2026 ⏰ 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 📍 Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC)

The 20-hour training is your first step toward trying real cases in your community. Register your spot here.
