These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in text messaging (SMS) programs offered by Ontario Cares (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including but not limited to communications related to Ontario County Youth Court. By opting in to receive text messages from Ontario Cares, you agree to these Terms.

Program Description

Ontario Cares sends text messages to individuals who have opted in, including program participants and their parents/guardians. Messages may include appointment and program reminders, and general program updates. No marketing, promotional, or donation/fundraising messages are sent through this program.

Consent

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in (via an online form, verbal confirmation during program intake, or other approved method), you consent to receive text messages from Ontario Cares related to the program(s) you are enrolled in or associated with. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of participating in any Ontario Cares program.

For participants under the age of 18, enrollment and any associated text message consent involve the participation and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the program and your level of participation. For example, Youth Court program communications may include up to approximately 20 messages per participant per month.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier for details regarding your specific plan.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP, STOP ALL, QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you may receive one final message confirming your removal from the program.

Supported Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery may vary depending on your carrier and coverage area.

Changes to These Terms

Ontario Cares may update these Terms from time to time. Continued participation in our text messaging program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Privacy

Your use of this text messaging program is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
