Our Story
EPIC Zone has given Geneva teens a place to belong since 2016. Now, at 81 North Street, we’re ready to build a real kitchen, a basketball court with a privacy fence, and signage that welcomes every teen who walks by.
We need your help to get us there.
Right now, EPIC Zone’s kids gather for snacks and shared meals using what the space allows—hot plates and makeshift setup, run by resourceful staff who make it work every day.
A real kitchen means teens can learn to cook, prep meals together, and build the kind of everyday skills and connection that happen best around food. It’s one of three projects we’re looking to raise funding for at 81 North.
Basketball brings EPIC Zone’s kids together every day. It’s a place to move, compete, and have fun. But the current court has taken a beating over the years, and the uneven blacktop makes it harder for teens to really play.
A resurfaced court, paired with privacy fencing, gives our kids room to play safely while keeping the game contained and our neighbors happy. It’s the second project we’re looking to raise funding for at 81 North.
At 81 North, we’re building more than a space. We’re building a youth spot for connection and community in Geneva. But right now, if you drove past our building, you’d think it’s an old eye care center.
Clear, welcoming signage is a small but vital piece of that story: it tells our neighbors this is a place for them, makes us visible to the families and individuals who need us most, and reflects the pride we have in the work happening inside these walls.
Every dollar raised for signage helps ensure that no one has to wonder where to turn. They’ll simply see 81 North and know they’ve found a place to belong. It’s the third project we’re looking to raise funding for at 81 North.
