EPIC Zone Takes Over the Ontario County Fair

Our Geneva and Bloomfield EPIC Zone members hit the Ontario County Fair last week, taking in the sights, sounds, tastes, and of course, as many rides as they could squeeze into the day.

In all, 20 members made the trip. Members picked up free family admission coloring page packets and a bag before heading in to explore.

The fair has a variety of activities, and our EZ youth didn’t waste a minute, from ice cream and axe throwing, to a scavenger hunt and every fair food you can think of. One of the highlights of the day was the agricultural scavenger hunt. As members explored each barn, they got genuinely invested in learning and completing the challenge.

Field trips like this are about more than a fun day out. They give youth the chance to try new things and experience opportunities they might not be able to otherwise, all while making memories with friends.

None of it happens without Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County, who invited our members back to the fair again this year.
