Bringing Veterans together is at the core of the Veterans Coalition’s mission, and on May 27, that mission came to life with a great turnout for the first Veterans Men’s Group lunch. Hosted by Ontario Cares Veterans Coalition and CompeerCorps, the inaugural event took place at Tom Wahl’s in Canandaigua.

The connection lunch brought Veterans from across Ontario County together over a free meal to connect, share, and be in community with one another. The initiative, led by Ontario Cares Veterans Coalition Coordinator Luke Moody, was inspired by the success of CompeerCorps’ Men’s Group in Monroe County. Recognizing the need for more prosocial connection closer to home, the two organizations partnered to bring Ontario County Veterans together.
