Think you can walk from Bloomfield to Milan? That’s the ambitious (and fun) challenge the Bloomfield Public Library posed during its February Walking Challenge kickoff—and EPIC Zone members were ready to step up.

Our EPIC Zone Bloomfield staff recently tabled at the library’s kickoff event, which encourages community members to track their steps throughout February and see if, together, they can cumulatively cover the distance from Bloomfield to Milan. The event created a great opportunity for our team to connect with youth, parents, and local families.

“The event offered us a platform to display the EPIC Zone clubhouse and its impact to new members of the community,” said Cora Woloson, program coordinator at EPIC Zone Bloomfield.

By the end of the kickoff, EPIC Zone members had officially joined the walking challenge, committing to track their steps all month long. We’re excited to see how far our community can go, one step at a time.
